As a Manufacturing Safety Professional for over 8 years, much can be said about the similarities between the world of Safety Management and Cybersecurity. They both are fields where risk has to be eliminated or mitigated (if the risk cannot be completely removed). The best method in reducing costs to any organization is the primary effort in being proactive in recognizing hazards in the infrastructure and conduction action plans in attacking the high risks tasks that can greatly impact the organization. Sustainability is achieved once risks have been reduced to an acceptable range and the organization continues to monitor itself.
